Labo, 90, of Newport died at 9:30 p.m. Monday in Beach N ursing Home, where she had been since April, 1994. Friends may call from 7 to 9 tonight and from 1| to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Rupp Funeral Home, where thr Tosary will be Tecited at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be at 9315 aim. funeral home and at 10 a.m. Thurs- day at St. Charles REGINA A. LABO Catholic Church, Newport. The Rev. William Tin- dall of St. Charles Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, New- — port. Born July 29, 1905, in Detroit, she was the daughter of Louis and Margaret (Tillman) Schmit. She first married Harold J, Laboe on June 17, 1926; in All Saints Church in Detroit. He preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1936, She then married Leander Labo on Aug. 20, 1969, in St. Charles Catholic Church. He preceded her in death on Feb, 9, 1982. She had been employed as a sales clerk for FJ. Yaeger and Son from 1950 to 1969, Educated at All Saints School in Detroit, she was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church and its Ladies Society. She was very active in senior citizens groups in Berlin, Ash and Frenchtown Township, where she played the piano for sing-alongs. She is survived by a son, Robert L. Laboe of Monroe: five daugh- ters, Mrs. John R. (Dorothy) Bai- ley, Mrs. Daniel (Margaret) Denardo and Mrs. George W. (Joan) Stoner, all of Monroe, Mrs. John (Bernice) Haener of New- port, and Mrs. Thomas A. (Mari- an) Howley of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; a sister, Sister Regina Marie Schmit, IHM, of Monroe; 25 grandchildren; 5] gteat-grandchil- dren, and five great-great-grand- children. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Louis and Leonard Schmit, and a grandson, William Bailey. Memorials may be made to the St. Charles Catholic Church Building Fund.
