She had been in ill health for sev- eral months. Friends may call from 1 until services at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Earle Little Bacarella Chapel Funeral Home. The Rev. James Jacobs of First United Methodist Church will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. Born Oct. 10, 1927, she was the daughter of Raymond and Elsie (Rauch) Knapp. She married Wal- ter Ladley on June 19, 1951, in Monroe. She received her bachelor’s degree from North Central Col- lege, Naperville, Ill., in 1950. A reading specialist, she taught at Highland Elementary School, Naperville, from 1965 to. 1985. - Surviving are her husband of Lakeland, mother of Monroe; son, Walter Ladley III, of Winfield, IIL; daughter, Diane Ladley of Naperville; two brothers, Forrest Knapp of Lakeland, and Carl Knapp of Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Gerald (Marjorie) Goethe of Mon- roe, and one granddaughter.
