Helen A. Laginess SOUTH ROCKWOOD — Ser- vices have been set for Helen A. Laginess, 85, of South Rockwood, who died Sunday night at the Oak- wood Hospital Seaway Center, Trenton. She had been ill for a week. Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Ford Chapel of the Allore-Martenson Funeral Home, Rockwood, where the rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home and at [1 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Rock- wood. The Rev. Thomas Sauter will officiate. Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery, Newport. Born Jan. 2, 1912, in Newport, she was the daughter of Louis and Stella M. (Cousino) Bodenmiller. She was married on June 10, 1930, to Cletus Laginess at St. Mary’s Church, Rockwood. He died Feb. 18, 1993. A homemaker, she was a mem- ber of St. Mary’s Church in Rock- wood. Surviving are two sons, Robert of South Rockwood and Emerson of Newport; two daughters, Mrs. Theodore (Marilyn) Roberts of Newport and Mrs. Daniel (Lor- raine) Mercure of Rockwood: a brother, Doras Bodenmiller of South Rockwood; a sister, Mrs. Margaret Bleuenstein of South Rockwood; 19 grandchildren, and 40 great-grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Chester; and six sisters, Mary Sevold, Theressa Beuier, Dora Gaynier, Lucille VanWassehnova and two in infancy. Memorials may be made to St. Mary’s Church restoration fund, Rockwood.
