Friends may call from 5 to 9 tonight and from noon to 4 and 6 to 9 Friday at the Allore Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home, with the Rey. James Schmel- ing, pastor of Faith Lutheran Church, officiat- ing. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle. : Born July 6, HELEN 1926, in’ Ang.“ NES Arbor, she was the daughter of Ralph and Evelyn (Vail) Love- land. She married Floyd Lajiness on May 4, 1963, in Monroe. She was employed as.a secretary by the Monroe Public Schools for 22 years until her retirement in 1985. She was a member of the Ladies of Faith, Monroe Senior Citizens, Frenchtown Senior Citi- zens, Mercy Memorial Women’s Guild, Faith Lutheran Church and the Association of Retired School Personnel. She was.an avid vol- unteer for Red Cross blood dri- ves. Surviving are her husband, two sons, Harl Lajiness of New Boston and Ronald VanDorn of Peters- burg; two daughters, Mrs. Greg (Ann) Brown of Lexington, Ind. and Mrs. James (Sandra) Baker of Bellaire; four brothers, Jack, Donald, and Allen Loveland, all of Monroe and Verland Loveland of Ida; six sisters, Mrs. William (Bette) Bezeau, Mrs. Edward (Patricia) Katanski, Mrs. Ray- mond (Linda) Bottom, all of Mon- ‘roe, Mrs. Everett (Shirley) Buck- ingham of Carleton, Mrs. Ro (Judith) Gephart of Lambertville, and Mrs. Chad (Marilyn) Norton of California; 8 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Loveland Jr., and a sister, Mary Louise Loveland. Memorials may be made to the Faith Lutheran Church or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
