Calvin Tracy
Calvin Tracy was born in Norwich, Connecticut, on January 2, 1805. He was the first professor at Michigan Agricultural College and served as a professor of Mathematics from 1857 to 1860. After resigning from his position at the college, he spent the rest of his life conducting an insurance office in North Lansing. Tracy died in Lansing on July 28, 1889.
