GOLF COURSE SUPERINTENDENTS ASSOCIATION OF NEW ENGLAND 1958 I W L E T T It is always a pleasure to visit the Manchester, N.H., Country Club, the scene of our last meeting, July 7. T h e view of the course from the rear of the spacious club house is an attractive picture of lucious fairways extending into distant borders of large white pine trees. T h e scene is one of those tempting "Come and try me" looks. Those stately innocent looking white pines always give an account of themselves during a r o u n d of golf. T h e resounding KLICK KLOCK of golf balls hitting the fat tree trunks was a consoling reminder that somebody else was in trouble too. T h e r e was no doubt that a good time was h a d by all, thanks to an appetizing luncheon, the generous hospitality of the club and in particular the kindness of host Supt. Ed Buecher and Mrs. Buecher who graciously entertained some of our ladies. Brown. At the short business meeting an application for associate membership was submitted from J o h n Hudyke, Franconia C.C., Springfield, Mass. It was learned that Joe Oldfield's son has just received an appointment to West Point. Congratulations, boys, to both of you. F O R SALE One Converse Rotary Screen with Briggs-Stratton Engine.
