President Joe Butler introduced the association officers and wives and guests Mr. & Mrs. John Boda President PGA of N. E., Mr. Frank Wilson and Mr. Guy West both charter and Honorary members. The occasion was a complete success and a fine time was enjoyed by all. The association members wish to thank the donors who helped make this occasion a success. Many thanks also to Herb Berg Supt. OF May Outdoor Meeting The first outdoor meeting of the season was held May 4, 1964 at Oakely C. C. Watertown, Mass. Both the club President and Greens Chairman welcomed the Supts. to Oakely. Everyone was very much impressed with the new clubhouse and facilities. The luncheon was excellent but the golf scores needed improving. Golf is what "letter-carrying, ditch-digging and carpet bagging would be if those tasks had to be performed on the same hot afternoon in shorts and colored socks by goutylooking gentlemen who required a different implement for every mood. Golf is the simplest game in the world when you take it up, and the toughest looking after you have been at it ten to twelve years. It is probably the only known game a man can play as long as a quarter of a century and then discover that it was too deep for him in the first place.
