The a r t i s t 's concert was given in t he afternoon by Miss Leonora Allen, so p r a n o; Miss Minert, contralto; Mr. Selva, tenor, and Mr. H a r r i s o n, baritone, with Mrs. Minnie Davis Sherrill, whose accompanying always adds so m u ch to the pleasure of a performance at the piano. Miss t r a g ic "Women of Minert was p e r h a ps best in Inver," by Loughborough, while Miss Allen, though versatile, pleased her audience most in h er b r i g h t er selections, Botschaft by B r a h m s, and Gallie by Mob- rejs, a nd h er d r a m a t ic i n s t i n ct w as a p p a r e nt in h er duets with Mr. H a r r i s o n. Mr. Selva was best re ceived in his native songs.
