been  let  to  t he  Western  Union  Com

be  placed

Robert  Snyder  has  been  discharged 
from  the  army  and  is  spending  a  few

Snyder  was  a  private  in  the  Medical 
Corps  and  has  been  doing  laboratory 
work  in  the  Army  Medical  School  at 
Washington,  D. C.

charged  from  service  and  is  at  home

Ray  Nelson,  who  was  research  as 
sistant  in  plant  pathology  in  the  bot 
any  department,  and  who, was  given 
leave  of  absence  to  carry  on war  work 
in  marketing,  has  been  reinstated  and 
will  return  to  M.  A.  C.  on  February 
1st  to  resume  his  duties, 

Lieut.  Herbert  Cooper  has  been  dis 
charged  from  the  army  and  has  re 
turned  to  his  home  in  Lansing.  Lieut. 
Cooper  was  in  France  seven  months 
with  the  20th  Field  Artillery.  He was 
in  the  drive  of  Sept.  12  and  saw  ser 
vice  on  several  sectors.  He  was  for 
tunate  enough  to  get  through  the  sev 
eral  months  service  at  the  front  with 
out  suffering  a  casualty,  or  spending 
any  time  in the  hospital.

Roy  M.  Shane,  who  has  been  seri 
ously  ill  for  several  months  at  the 
Laing  Hospital  at  Escanaba, 
is  re 
ported  to  be  slowly  improving.  Shane 
was  taken  ill  in  March,  1918,  while 
working  in  St.  Clair  county,  as  assist 
ant  county  agent,  and  since  then  has 
been  confined  to  the  hospital.  The 
doctors  have  hopes  of  his  recovery. 
No  doubt  Shane  will  greatly  appreci 
ate  letters  from  his old  college  friends 
and  classmates.
