To confer On motion of Mr. G-raham, the President was authorized to confer the Degree. degree of Bachelor of Science upon George Frank Leonard, subject to the approval of the faculty. On motion of Mr. Doherty, the following persons were authorized to take trips at the expense of the College: Professors Professor Bessey to attend a meeting of the American Association for authorized! the Advancement of Science, at Philadelphia, in December; Professor Eustace to to take I attend a meeting of the same association, and that of the Society for Horticul trips tural Science, at Philadelphia; Professor Kedzie to visit the firms of Bausch &. On motion of Mr. Doherty, the requests of Lieutenant DeLancey, presented by President Snyder, were referred to the Committee on Buildings and College Property. President Snyder presented a communication from Dean Shaw, giving his reasons for not purchasing feeding cattle for the Upper Peninsula Experiment Station. On motion of Mr. Waterbury, the question of permitting instructors to take work in college was referred to the Committee on Employes. On motion of Mr. Doherty, an additional apportionment of twelve hundred dollars was made for the Department of Botany for the present period.
