Oh motion of Mr. Doherty, Mr. Poison was given the t i t le of Acting Dean during the absence of Dean Bissell.- The Secretary presented a communication from Mr. Wylie B. Wendt with reference to h is reinstatement upon the faculty of the Civil Engineering de- partment. The Board gave t h is f u ll consideration but did not change i ts former action in the matter. . . On motion of Mr. Doherty, the Secretary was directed to notify Mr_;, C. D. Woodbury that the Board of Agriculture desires to exercise i ts option to purchase lands now held under l e a s e, subject to s a t i s f a c t i on as to the t i t l e. On motion of Mr. Beaumont, the following resolution was adopted; Gym.located RESOLVED, That the gymnasium be located as near as may be in accordance . with the Qlmstead plan but that it be pushed back as far toward the r i v er as p r a c t i c a b l e. . ; On motion of Mr. Wallace, the question of a plan for the permanent Improvement Campus Roads improvement of the campus roads was referred to the H o r t i c u l t u r al department- with direction to consult with the State Highway department and report at t he next meetiig of the Board. £> buy light- truck. On motion of Mr. Wallace, the Secretary was authorized to buy a l i g ht gasoline car to be used for truck purposes. To adv.for bids for gym. Salaries - increased, Change in Chem.Lab. 3 Grad. Assts.ap- proved. On motion of Mr. Beaumont, the Secretary was authorized to advertise for bids for building the gymnasium as soon as the plans are ready. On motion of Mr. Beaumont, #50.00 was added to t he s a l a r i es of Messrs. R.P.Hibbard, G.H.Coons, and C.S.Robinson, beginning September 1st, On motion of Mr. Wallace, the Secretary xvas authorized to make the change in the chemical laboratory requested by Prof. Kedzie.
