On motion of Mr* Doherty, Miss Elsie May Allan was appointed Clerk in

the Secretary1 s Office at a salary of #850.00 per year for the remainder of the

College  year*

On motion  of  Mr*  Graham,  in  order  to  cover  certain  janitor  service,  the

salary  of  Mr*  simon  Groat  was  increased  from  #700  to  $87O^*/for  the  remainder  of

beginning  April  1st

the  year.

On motion of Mr* Woodman, Mr* Schepers "and the Secretary were  authorized

to £tend the annual meeting of the Association of Business Officers of the Colleges

of the Middle West to be held in Chicago May 9th and 10th, with expenses paid*

On motion of -Mr. Doherty, the Secretary and Purchasing Agent were

authorized to take proposaia for the furnishing of coal to the College and to close

contract far the ensuing year*

On motion of Mr* Waterbury, the following recommendations of Director

Baldwin, were approved*

(a) That the salary of Mr* Graves, Farm Management Demonstrator, be in-

creased $50.00 per month for the months of May and June*

(b) That Mr* Foreman be authorized to visit the" national Bgg Laying

Contest at Mount  Grove, Missouri, and the Missouri University at Columbia with all

expenses paid*

ljune l^th for a considerable portion of the summer vacation*

in connection with his work in Industrial Chemistry, were allowed not to exceed

On motion of Mr. Doherty, the resignation of Mr. Chas. Hobies, in

charge of the work in nodule forming bacteria in the Bacteriological Department

wa3 accepted to take effect April 1st.

On motion of Mr. Waterbury, the resignation of Mr. T. A. Farrand as

-Bnergeney Demonstration Agent in Eaton County, was accepted to take effect

April 30th, and the Secretary was directed to express the appreciation of the

Board to Mr. Farrand for his services•

On motion of Mr* Woodman, Mr. A* C. Dytle was appointed County Agent

for Otsego County beginning May 1st, at a salary cf $1800 per annum from

Emergency funds, and to continue to June 30th.

. On motion of Mr. Woodman, Mr. E. .E. Denni3on was appointed County

Agent for Shiawassee County at #2^00 per annum; fig00 to be paid from Federal

Bnergency funds aid #600 by the county.

On motion of Mr. Doherty, #1300 was added to the apportionment for

the Dean of Home Economics for the remainder of the fiscal year.

On motion of Mr. Doherty, the Secretary vr^s authorized to have

plans prepared for the erection of shops and store building and to carry the

work along as fund3 ar available.
