THE STATE BOARD OF AGRICULTURE P r e s i d e n t 's Office February 6, 1922* l:oo P* M* Resolution to assist in the «on- struction of a boul- evard ad- jacent to the campus Present, President Shaw, Mrs* Stockman, Messrs* Brody, Boelle, MePheran, Watkins and Woodman* Mayor Byder appeared before the Board and cade request that the Board lend its aid in every possible way to the committee having in charge the plans for widening and beautifying Michigan and Grand River Avenues* " On motion of Mr* Watkins, the following resolution was adopted: "RESOLVED, That it is the sense of this Board that we act in conjunction with the citizens of East Lansing and the committee appointed to bring about the construction of a boulevard adjacent to the campus on Michigan and Grand Kiver Avenues through East Lansing, and further that we give to the City of Lansing our full cooperation should they propose to join in extending same*1 On motion of Mr* Woodman, a committee consisting of Mr* Baldwin, Mrs* Campbell, Messrs* Turner and Tennant, was appointed to prepare for the Administrative Board, a written statement giving detailed information con- cerning the extension work under their direction* The committee was fur- ther requested to appear before the Administrative Board, if desired, to supplement the written statements* Architect requested to prepare plans• On motion of Mrs* Stockman, the Secretary was instructed to communicate with Architect Bowd and request him to prepare plans at once for the Home Economics and Administrative buildings, in order that con- struction may be started at the earliest possible date* The Board adjourned at this time to survey the campus with a view to selecting sites for the new buildings to be constructed, Mr* Frederick Ol^ted, Landscape Architect, being present for consultation.t i* Acting Secretary
