BUDGET CONSIDERATIONS On motion of Mrs. Stockman, it was voted that the salary budget as presented be approved and that the raises In salaries of Mr. Kobs and Mr. Heppinstall be effective May 1. On motion of Mr. McPherson, it was voted that the maintenance budget as presented be approved with the changes indicated. APPOIHTMENTS_ 1. Miss Hazel Bradley, County Club Agent of Gogebic County at a salary of $2,000,.$1800 from Federal Smith Lever funds, effective May 1, 1929* 2. Mrs* Helen Young, stenographer In the Poultry Department, effective May 1, |100 per month, one-half station and one-half college. 3. Mr. H. Watson of Ontario Agricultural College as half-time assistant in the Department of Bacteriology, effective September 1929. 4. Mr. Harry J. It is understood that a memorandum of understanding is to be prepared by those concerned de fining the duties of Mr. Pratt in this Department, as separate and distinct from the ^ork of the Physics Department which is also to be clearly defined. Mr. John Sims to Madison, Wisconsin, to attend a fertilizer conference on May 10 and 11, with railroad fare from East Lansing to Madison and return paid by the College. 3. Expenses of Mr. Delmar H. LaVoi from Crbokston, Minnesota to Lansing, Michigan via Chatham, candidate for Extension work in Animal Husbandry. 4. Dr. Marie Dye to Columbus, Ohio, to attend a meeting of the American Chemical Society, starting Monday, April 29, with transportation (railroad fare and pullman) paid from the Experiment Station account. 5. Travelling expenses for M. P. R. Hoff of Columbus, Ohio, who came here for an interview re garding the position made vacant by the resignation of Mr. Kessler, Agricultural Engineering. Mr. Musselman has decided not to offer the position to Mr. Hoff, and recommends that the account be paid. On motion of Mr. Watkins, it was voted to approve the above travel requests. Those enrolled in the school will be transported to the Kellogg Farm for one or two days at the end of each i^eek for the purpose of making obser- vations, studies and collections. The materials to be brought back to the college to be worked out in connection with our laboratory facilities here. It is understood that the Institution will furnish the instructors and transportation to and from the Kellogg Farm.
