Mr. Jess Bird, as full time extension specialist in Farm Crops. Salary $2100, beginning April 1st, 1930, to replace Mr. C. M. McCrary. .2.. Mr. Leon H. Robbins, as Calhoun County Agricultural Agent, to succeed Mr. Sackrider, salary $3000, $1800 from Federal Smith funds, effective March 1st. 3. Miss Marie Nelson, one half time Assistant in Botany, beginning September 1, 1930, to succeed Miss Willa Galyon. 4. Requeist of Dr. Mumford for payment of $800. full time Scholarship to Mr. P. H. Pearson, for five months1 service. Request denied. j •On motion of Mr. Brody, it was voted to approve the first three items and deny the "fourth item. j TRAVEL REQUESTS j Travel 1. Request for Dr. M. M. McCool to meet with Joint Committee of American and National Fertilize^ j' Association in Chicago on March 1st. Request granted. 2. Request for delegate to be present at the Semi-Centennial Celebration of Case School at Cleveland, Ohio, on April 11th. - • • • I. j i • 3. Request that Dr. Nellie Halladay be authorized to attend a meeting of the American Society of j Biological Chemistry to be held at the University of Chicago March 26-28 with railroad and j- i pullman fare paid from the regular station Allotment to the Home Economics Section. 4. Request that Director Baldwin be permitted to attend a conference at Madison, Wisconsin, on j. March 11th to prepare plans for the annual Country Life Conference to be held next October. j On motion of Bar-. Watkins, it was voted to approve the above travel requests. MISCELLANEOUS 1.. Request for addition of $100 to the Department of English budget to cover expenses of chaperone- accompanying Women1s Debating Team on Central Western Trip, to be taken latter part of March and early part of April, expenses from reserve fund. On motion of Mrs. Stockman, it was voted to approve the above request from the Department of English, and appropriate the $100. from the reserve fund. 2. Request of C. G. Card for flOOO vrith which to buy large capacity incubator. On motion of Mr. McColl, it was voted to approve Professor Card's request for §1000 and to appropriate the amount from the reserve fund. 3. Request of H. H. Musselman for addition of $1000 to his budget. On motion of Mr. Mcpherson, it was voted that an addition of $500., to be taken from the reserve fund, be made to Professor Musselmanls budget. 4. Request of G. W. Putnam for $9000. to build two houses for the use of herdsmen at Chatham. Item previously referred to Building Committee. 5. Presentation of letter from Student Council relative to new uniforms. It was voted to place the letter on file in the' Secretary.f s Office. 6« Report of. offer of late Fannie H* Bissell of $500. for Women Student Loan funds.
