Dr. Ohl wiil^take over the work, of Mrs. Ethel Rathke, who has been employed on a labor payroll basis at $500.00 per term, as well as take care of new courses in Latin. 11. Recommendation that Dr. F. W.- Young, Instructor in Anatomy on a three-quarter time basis, be placed on full time during 1936-37, with an increase from his present salary of $1690.00 to §2400 for the year. The appointment is to be effective September 1, 1936. 12. Chamberlain, Professor of Physics, for an allowance on traveling expenses to The Hague, Holland, so that he might present a paper at the meeting of the International Association of Refrigerating Engineers. In accord with the policy discussed at the last Board meeting but not yet entered in the records (that foreign travel for staff members be not financed by the College), the request was denied. Report on coal analysis agreement with the Michigan State Administrative Board, by which coal for all state institutions in the Lower Peninsula is to be analyzed by the Department of Chemical Engineering under Professor Publow's direction. Minimum of 750 samples is guaranteed, to be analyzed at §2.00 per sample for a period of ten months, beginning September 1, 1936. Request for payment of $900.00 installment due on plans for the Proposed Dormitory No. 2 (prepared by Malcomson and Higginbotham). Balance due, $1800 after this payment has been made. Hannah, Secretary, in the amount of $10,000 by the Michigan Surety Company of Lansing, Michigan. On motion of Mr. Halstead, seconded by Mr. Berkey, it was voted to approve the above item. 22. Approval of bond for C. 0. Wilkins, Comptroller, in the amount of $25}GOO by Michigan Surety Company, Aetna Casualty and Surety Company, Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland, National Surety Corporation and Hartford Accident ana Indemnity Company. On motion of Mr. Halstead, seconded by Mrs. Wilson, it was voted to approve the bond for ¢250,000 for C. 0. Wilkins issued jointly by the Michigan Surety Company and others, provided the Fidelity, National and Hartford Companies present and make a part of the contract the authority of their representative attorneys in fact to negotiate this instrument for them. 23. Approval of resolution cancelling the previous bond of £50,000 held by Mr. Wilkins since the new bond for $250,000 makes the previous bond unnecessary. iSee Secretaryrs file). On motion of Mr. Daane, seconded by Mr. Berkey, it was voted to approve the above-mentioned bond provided the Michigan Surety Company will include the name of Rodney Whiting in the amount of ^10,000. 25. Approval of staff additions required due to increased enrollment - total cost for the next fiscal year not to exceed £30,000. On motion of Mr. Berkey, seconded by Mr. Halstead, it was voted to empower the Advisory Committee, the President and Secretary to make the necessary staff additions, total cost not to exceed ¢30,000. 26.
