In closing the PWA Docket, 1200-F Auditorium, it was necessarj^ to make an additional deposit of #724.10 in the construction account before the PWA .would release our final payment. This deposit was made on May 20 without specific authorisation from the Board. Communication has been received from the Michigan State Board of Tax Aduiini strati on indicating that they have cancelled the sales tax assessment on the College BoOxtstore amounting to approximately |l3,000* On motion of Mr* Berkey, seconded by Mr* Brody, it was voted to authorize the Secretary to vrc-ite a letter of thanks to the Michigan State Board of Tax Administration. 4. It is reported for record that in accordance with the contract between the State Board of Agri- culture and Claud Erickson, Consulting Engineer, Mr* Srickson has been paid ^1500 on account for his services in connection with the preparation of the specifications and the supervision of the installation of the equipment in that portion of the Power Plant now nearing completion. W» Hitchcock of the Civil Engineering Department due to defective vision* Professor Hitchcock has worked for the College 27 years and is eligible for disability pension at the rate of |764*00 per yeare Professor Hitchcock is practically blind and unable to continue teaching. On motion of Mr. Berkey, seconded by Mr* Brody, it was voted to approve the above recommendation of the Retirement Committee. 6. On motion of Mr. McPherson, seconded by Mr. Berkey, it was voted to refer items 6 and 7 to Secre- tary Hannah with power. 8. -Communication from Bean Anthony and Mr. McCrary relative to the request of the Consumers Power Company for a right of way across the Kellogg Farm. On motion of Mr. Berkey, seconded by Mr* Brody, it was voted to deny the above request. 9* The Secretary reports that the sale of the Power Plant Bonds has been held up pending com- pletion of negotiations for the sale of the Jenison building. Mr. Cress of the Ann Ar'por Trust Company has expored the market and has reported that the bonds can be sold at par at not to exceed Jfo in the event the Jenison negotiations do not materialize. 10* In accordance with recent custom unless there is objection, the July meeting of the Board will be held the first week of July with no August meeting unless emergencies require it. An appropriation of SlOO from the Board is requested for the use of the Auditorium on May 22nd for the 3and Concert.
