At the Board meeting, on October 16, it was reported that the house on the Clever property had been sold to the highest bidder, Mrs. Ruby Lamer* for $261. Mrs. Larner failed to complete the deal and forfeited her deposit of $26,10. The house was again submitted for bids and was sold to the high bidder, James Hicks, for $151.50. Mr. May recommends that he be authorized to pool various small scholarship funds and invest the principle in high grade stocks and allocate the earnings to the various funds for the desig- nated scholarship purposes. He requests authority to pool up to $25>000 in total of scholarship funds for this purpose, and that he and Mr. Cress be authorized to suggest to the Board a list of stocks for specific investment. M# Hardin authorising the establishment of a Regional Poultry Laboratory Account as a new revolving fund in accordance with an agreement "between-the College and the U, 3. Department of Agriculture. On motion of Mr. Brody, seconded by Dr. Smith, it was voted: (a) to authorise Mr. Earl Cress of the Ann Arbor Trust Company to arrange additional financing not to exceed $^00,000 in addition to the $7.600,000 already arranged, or making the total maximum obligation not in excess of $8»000i000. (b) to instruct the officers of the College and the architect, Mr. Calder, to work with the Christ- man Company in making such changes in the specifications for the dormitory project as are necessary to bring the total contract price of the. construction to not to exceed $6,305*000.
