On motion of Mr. Pcherty.,' President Snyder was instructed to request the -?ar Department to appoint a Commandant for the Military De partment of the College, to succeed Captain Ettger, -hose appointment has expired. adopted:- . On motion of Judge Carpenter, the following resolution was RESOLVED, That the city .of East Lansing be given a li cense to dispose of the overflow from their septic tanks through the col lege se^er system. This license may be terminated by the Beard at any time- oil a year's! notice, and in no event to extend beyond five years. It is given upon the condition that the capacity of the septic tanks, new used by the •City, will be so increased •• as to take care of all; the sew erage, and also, that all roof drains be disconnected "^ith the sewerage system. Also, that all expense incurred in making this improvement: shall be borne by the City and that that part of the se^er laid on the college ground shall be constructed by the college at the expense of the Oity, and subject at all times to the control of the State Board of Agriculture.
