P r e s i d e nt  Snyder  p r e s e n t ed  the  following  statement  in  reference  to

the  employment  of  a  v e r t e r i n a r i an  in  charge  of  the  v e t e r i n a ry  d i v i s i o n: 

To  the  Honorable  S t a te  Board  of  A g r i c u l t u r e: 

Sept.  2gth,  1910. 

At  a  previous  meeting,  t he  s e l e c t i on  of  a  dean  of  the  v e t e r i n a ry  d e 

the  p l a ce  at  a  s a l a ry  of  #2500.00  per  y e a r.  Dr.  Lyman  l a t er  v i s i t ed 

partment  was  l e ft  with  the  p r e s i d e nt  of  the  c o l l e g e,  Dean  Shaw,  and  Dr.  Marshall. 
It  was  understood,  at  t h at  t i m e,  t h at  Dr.  Richard  P.  Lyman  would  probably  he  s e l e c t ed 
for 
College  and  the  committee,  under  the  a u t h o r i ty  granted  "by  the  Board,  s e l e c t ed 
him  for  the  place  at  the  s a l a ry  named.  He  has  already  taken  up  the  . d u t i es  of 
h is  p o s i t i o n.

TO THE HONORABLE STATE BOARD OP AGRICULTURE: 

Your committee on Employees, widen was given authority to fill vacan 
cies, begs leave to make the following report.  The committee has only filled 
positions made vacant by resignation and at salaries in no instance beyond those 
set by the Board.  In a number of cases^positions have been filled at a less 
salary than has been previously paid, make a total saving of something like
