At a previous meeting, t he s e l e c t i on of a dean of the v e t e r i n a ry d e the p l a ce at a s a l a ry of #2500.00 per y e a r. Dr. Lyman l a t er v i s i t ed partment was l e ft with the p r e s i d e nt of the c o l l e g e, Dean Shaw, and Dr. Marshall. It was understood, at t h at t i m e, t h at Dr. Richard P. Lyman would probably he s e l e c t ed for College and the committee, under the a u t h o r i ty granted "by the Board, s e l e c t ed him for the place at the s a l a ry named. On motion of Mr. Doherty, the following r u l es in reference to the refund of student fees and room r e n t, were adopted: OF STUDENT FEES AND ROOM RENT: RESOLVED, THAT THE FOLLOWING RULES SHOULD BE OBSERVED IF THEREFUND Students v o l u n t a r i ly leaving college w i t h in twenty days from the date of t h e ir c l a s s i f i c a t i on w i l l, upon approval of the P r e s i d e n t, he a ll fees p a i d, as shown by c l a s s i f i c a t i on c a r d, room r e nt for the even weeks remaining, with the exception of the m a t r i c u l a t i on fee , which w i ll in no case he refunded; close of the f i r st h a lf of the term, only one h a lf such fees w i ll he refunded with room r e nt as above i n d i c a t e d.
