I of Business Law, Insurance, and Office Administration be changed to the Department of Business Law and Office Administration. It is the intent of the College of Business to transfer the insurance and real estate courses from the Department of Buiness Law, Insurance and Office Administration to the Department of Accounting and Financial Administration. Basically, this would represent a consolidation of "risk" courses; that is, insurance, real estate, stocks, bonds and other funds of personal and corporate risk. The proposed combination of insurance with the financial area would provide the College with greater staffing flexibility and has the approval of the appropriate College committees as well as the University Committee on Curriculum. Such a combination would, however, necessitate a change in the name of the Department of Business Law, Insurance, and Office Administration. RESOLVED that the name.of the Department of Business Law, Insurance, and Office Administration be changed to the Department of Business Law and Office Administration, effective December 15, 1976. The objective of the policy primarily is to insure that employment procedures do not discriminate against such veterans who are otherwise qualified, and that affirmative action be taken to employ and advance in employment those covered by the policy. The Office of the Vice President for University and Federal Relations, in conjunction with the offices of the Provost and the Executive Vice President, has developed a draft plan to meet the law's requirements. j j 1 RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees approves the Affirmative Action Policy for Employment of Disabled Veterans and Veterans of the Vietnam Era.
