The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. The following recommendations of the committee on employees were, on mo-tion of Mr. Graham, adopted. 1. That the salary of Prof. French "be increased from #2300. to #2800,00 per annum, 2. That the salary of prof. Patten "be increased from $2000 to increases- in salary. $2300 per annum* 3. That the salary of Mr. Geo. D. Shafer "be increased from #1800 to #2000 per annum* ' K That; Hr. W. W, Johnson of the Agricultural College of Oldahoma -.-. be elected to the position of professor e-f English Literature and Modern I I Languages at a salary of #2000 per year and house. The request of Mr. Irving Gilson for leave of absence during the winter- and spring terms was, on motion of Mr,Graham, referred to the President with power to act. On motion of Mr. Waterbury the secretary was authorized to pay out of the M. A. C. Miscellaneous fund the deficit of the Liberal Arts Union, amounting to afcoiit #340.00. The Secretary presented the resignation of Miss Hinman, assistant cashier and'"boolc-ieeper, to talce effect August 15th and recommended the appointment of Miss Lena Maxwell, of Port Huron to succeed at the same salary, #800.00 beginning August 1st.
