On motion of Mr. Doherty, it was voted that when the Board adjourn, it ad 

journ to meet m  continued meeting at the College on Wednesday, October 2nd at 2

Mr. Wallace, who represented  the Board of Agriculture at the meeting held 

in Detroit to consider the matter of a Michigan exhibit at the American Land & 

Irrigation Exposition to be held in New Yor£ in November and December, reported

that he gave assurance  that the Board would assume the responsibility of furnishing!

The Secretary presented  the following  deductions from  the original "bids 

for the Dairy "building "by reason of the proposed  change of location.

On motion of Mr. Doherty, the "bid of Wright & Prall was accepted with the  location 

as originally made and  the Secretary was  directed to execute the  contract for the 

erection of the "building. 

On motion of Mr. Doherty, the following  resolution was  adopted: 

"Resolved-That  of3the  amount available under  the provisions 

of Act Ho. 232 of the public Acts of 1901 as amended, no further  amount 
will "be required at the Michigan Agricultural  College for the fiscal  year 
ending June 3 0, 1912 for  current  expenses." 

On motion of Mr. Waterbury,  the following resolution was  adopted: 

*Resolved-That  there is hereby  appropriated under  the provis 
ions of Act. x^Q.232 of the public Acts of 1901 as amended,  from  funds not 
otherwise appropriated, the sum of Fifty  thousand  dollars'($50000,00) for 
the purpose of erecting a Dairy building at Michigan Agricultural  College." 

On motion of Mr. Waterbury, Dean Shaw was authorized to talce up the matter 

of arrangement for an exhibit at the  Cadillac and other fairs next fall with a v 

j  view to avoiding  conflicting  dates. 

Mr. Doherty reported, that he employed Mr. P. E. Shien to examine  the  lands 

Right of  ! across which  the AuSable & north Western R. R. Co. wish to purchase a right  of' way 
way and 

II  land offer- as well as the land which they wish to'purchase  for obtaining  gravel.

j reversion, and to offer to the  said company  the gravel on the S. W. £ of the S. W. 

j £ of section 14 T, 2½ ¥.; R. 6 E. upon a royalty of 5$ per  square yard on the 

Surveyor's  estimate.
