Prof. Edwards and family are expected home tomorrow. Last Sunday for the first time in the history of the College the faculty held a meeting on the Sabbath. Prof. Vedder is having the hall and dining room of his house painted and papered. Will any one question the orthodoxy of a College that burns 6,000 pounds of sulphur a week. Dr. Keeley uses bichloride of gold to cure bad habits. Dr. Clute uses bichloride of mer­ cury to exterminate suspicious microbes. May it effectually cure their mercural habit of spr­ inging at the throats of peaceable people.
