The Botswana Society e:l(ist$fot' the :purpose ofen~oUt'ag;in\S interest,
s~holarships and resear~h in the Natural S~iences. the Rumanities
and the Arts. Particularly where $u~hsubjects           are rela'ted to
Botswana.
In pUt'suit of these aims. the Society:.
a.    publishes an annual volume entitled "BotsWana Notes & Renords"
      which is distributed to lllembersan.d subscribers throughout the
      world.
b.    publishes other Occasional Pap€;lrs,of a scholarly nature,                         which
      are made available to members at pre1'erential prices.
c.    arranges occasio~al conference/symposia,      the reports of which
      are published and made available to ]lembers at pre1'erential
      prices.                                                      '
d.    arranges regular monthly lectures      upon subjects within the scope
      of the Society.'s interests.
             (N.B. These lectures are. advertised in the Dail.Y NeWS
              and in the quarterly Newsletter.Q1' the Society).
A regular   Member  (Resident in Botswana only) receives one copy 01'
                    Botswana Notes & Records 1'or each year in which
                    the annual membership fee is paid.
A Life Member       receives one copy of each annual edition of BotswaJ;la
                    Notes & Records from the year in which Lite Member-
                    ship is taken ou.t.
A                   receives one copy of Botswana Notes & Records for
                    eli-ehyear in which the annual supscription has been
                    paid.
