F. CHIDAMMODZI studied at the universities of Malawi and Sussex. He is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosopy at Chancellor College. DR. JACK FINLAY, a Lecturer at the Health Education Unit of the Botswana Ministry of Health has been engaged in public health and health services research since 1968. He received his doctorate from Johns Hopkins University in 1976 and did his post doctoral residency in Health Education at the same university in 1977. DR. MAURICE GLICKMAN is a Lecturer in Sociology, University of Botswana. He haslaught at the University of Cambridge and in the United States. His research interests are in Social Problems in the Third World. He is the author of From Crime to Rehabilitation (1983) and of articles in various disciplines in a number of international journals. DR. THANDO GWEBU is a Lecturer in Environmental Science, University of Botswana. He was formerly a lecturer in the Geography Department at the University of Zambia. His research interests are in Human Settlements, Quantitative Research Methods, Urban and Regional Developments. He has published research articles in several international journals. DR. KENNETH JONES is Director, Institute of Adult Education. He was formerly Visitinll Professor and Actin, Head of Social Sciences, Athabasca University., Canada; Head of Social Sciences, Ulster Polytechnic, Northern Ireland, and Staff Tutor in Sociology, Open University, U.K. He is author of Sociology in Medicine: Cosmologies. Sociology of Adult Education for Development (forthcoming) and editor of Sickness and Sectarianism. MR. LANGADZIYE KALUBA is a Lecturer in the School of Education, University of Zambia Lusaka. DR. DOMINIC MILAZI is Senior Lecturer and Head of the Department of Sociology at the University of Botswana. Previously be taught Anthropology and Sociology at the Universities of Malawi and Lesotho. DR. VICTOR MTUBANI, a graduate of the Universities of London, Leeds and Exeter is Lecturer in English Literature at the University of Botswana. His research interests include Seventeenth and Eighteenth Century Literature, and the African presence in Eighteenth Century Britain. MR. JAMES MOIL WA, a graduate of the University of South Africa and California State University (Fresno) is Senior Lecturer and Acting Head of the Department of African Languages and Literature. Before joining the University he was a teacher at several secondary schools and was for many years Headmaster of Seepapitso Secondary School, Kanye. MR. ISAAC NDAI PAULOS graduated with a BA degree from the University of Botswana in October 1983. He majored in History and Sociology and was awarded a First Class in History. Currently he is working for the Lobatse Town Council. DR. A.J.G.M. SANDERS is Chief Researcher at the Institute of Foreign and Comparative Law of the University of South Africa. During the academic year 1982-83 he was Visiting Lecturer in Law at the University of Botswana. DR. PETER T AKIRAMBUDDE is Dean of the Faculty of Social Science and Head of the Department of Law at the University of Botswana. Formerly he held teaching/research appointments at law schools of Yale and Princeton Universities as well as being Lecturer in Law at the University College'ofSwaziland. He is the author of Technology Transfer and International Law (1980), The individuallUlder African Law (1982) and several articles in learned journals.
