Scotts Company Collection

The Scotts Company Collection contains monographs and periodicals published by O.M. Scott & Sons.

O.M. Scott founded the company in 1868 as a premium seed company for the U.S. agricultural industry. The Company began a lawn grass seed business for homeowners in the 1900s. The company grew from a leading lawn care business to an international marketer of industry-leading brands with a 1995 merger with Miracle-Gro.

This collection was donated by the ScottsMiracle-Gro Corporation in 2003. The collection is part of the MSU Libraries' Turfgrass Information Center Resource Archive. Records for all turf-related articles within this archive can also be identified via the Turfgrass Information File (TGIF) database.
