T he sem i-titted, double breasted look is typically Eng land, and this year, typically A m erican. T he chelsea collar, direct from England, looks like a low scoop neckline and is being used on many of the spring co ats. Many of the coats with the chelsea col lar feature scalloped cuffs to match the neckline. The C hesterfield coat, named after the Earl of C hesterfield, is still rated high in the coat popularity contest. The big news this season in trench coats is the “ London Fog Raincoat” which com es in sever al styles, including the C h ester field. T he “ London Fog” can be machine washed, and*it will still maintain its water repollency. The coat is to be drip dried, however, not put in a d ryer. Quilted co llars are being used on trench coats this spring and m ost of the coats boast either a full or half belt.
