Health at the University of Cape Town Medical School.
HENRY BERNSTEIN, one of the editors of the Journal of Peasant Studies and
author of many works on agrarian society and the state in East Africa, is based at the
Institute for Development Policy and Management at the University of Manchester,
England.
LINDA CHISHOLM directs the Education Policy Unit at the University of the
Witwatersrand.
MESHACK KHOSA is a lecturer in the Department of Geography and Environ-
mental Sciences at the University of Natal, Durban.
ZARINAMAHARAJ holds masters' degrees in both mathematics/computer scien-
ces and in gender/development She is currently the senior gender researcher at the
Centre for Applied Legal Studies, University of the Witwatersrand.
SIPHO S MASEKO lectures in Political Studies at the University of the Western
Cape.
