Commentary
In this issue of Transformation, we are introducing a new category of contribu-
tions: commentaries. In the present context, nothing is more salient than debate
about changing state policies. However, the nature of such discussion does not
permit direct debate with the state nor does it necessarily begin with a particular
written paper mapping out policy. Therefore pieces such as those by Adelzadeh
and Padayachee as well as that by Fine, require a new form of spotlighL We very
much welcome equivalent contributions of an academically strong quality that
would fit this section of the journal in future.
