The USGA Turfletters Collection contains a series of regional newsletters published by the Green Section of the United States Golf Association between 1953-1963.
In 1953, the USGA Green Section launched a program called the Regional Turf Service, providing localized support and expertise to USGA member golf clubs around the country. As a part of this service, USGA regional offices began publishing a series of informational bulletins called Turfletters. These short publications provided advice on growing and managing turf for golf courses, summarized ongoing Green Section research, and shared important organizational news with regional membership.
The collection is part of the MSU Libraries' Turfgrass Information Center Resource Archive. Records for all turf-related articles within this archive can also be identified via the Turfgrass Information File (TGIF) database.
