OUr subject is to explain what takes place in our environment, why and how, the achi:vements and problems in various development efforts, and research insiahts blto possible problem-solvina alternatives. UTAFITI cub across disciplinary boundaries and we would rather not be bound by the narrow confines.of disclpline$. We thus have had articles on lliemes and topics iI1 geography, history. economics, technology, education, de- ye:lopment planning, social administration •. literature, statistics, and law1 tq .mention only a few.-People of different ideological stand-points have naa occasion to argue out their positions and cases, and we do welcome such healthy debates. Naturally, thejournal has tended to lean towards the socialist . line of approach, but even within that approac~, there is no monolithic control of ideas and interpretations .. IaformatioD to Anthon: Articles should be double spaced and not more than 5,000 words. Ouotations in continuous text should be in double quotation marks. Avoid more than three types of heacijngs. Table, chart~, graphs, and :tlUlJ?S should be placed on separate pages and should preferably be sent in original br camera-ready copy suitable for offset reproduction. Jilllootnotes and references shOuld be numbered consecutively throughout the article and placed at the end of the article.
