       Our subject is Tanzania and East Africa p r i m a r i l y and anything that
       r e l a t e s to development. Our object i s to Explain what takes place in
       our environment, and we would r a t h e r not be bound by the n a r r o w
       confines of d i s c i p l i n e s . Utafiti p r e f e r s to cut a c c r o s s disciplinary
       boundar ie s.
       A r t i c l e s should contain up to 5,000 words as a general r u l e , and
       should be typed double-spaced, with ample m a r g i n s . Author is r e -
       quested to send minimum two copies of the A r t i c l e .
       Footnotes should be placed at the end of the a r t i c l e and numbered
       consecutively. Tables and F i g u r e s should be placed on s e p a r a t e
       pages.
       A r t i c l e s a r e published by the decision of the Editorial Board, al-
       though the inclusion of any a r t i c l e does not indicate the B o a r d ' s
       approval of the views e x p r e s s e d t h e r e i n .
