Brain/mind/soul : locating the human
A Michigan State University faculty panel discusses the topic "Brain/Mind/Soul: locating the human". Panelists look at historical and emerging understanding of the human brain, how it functions, what constitutes "consciousness", and evidence for and belief in a "soul". Dr. Cynthia Jackson-Elmoore convenes the session and moderates questions from the audience. Part of the series "Sharper Focus/Wider Lens" sponsored by the following MSU colleges and departments: the Honors College, Lyman Briggs College, the Cognitive Science and Neuroscience Programs, the Department of Philosophy, the Department ofPsychology, the Department of Religious Studies, and the Center for Ethics and Humanities in the Life Sciences.
