Filmmaker Shinpei Takeda interviews Hideko Campagna, a survivor of the atomic bombing of Nagasaki in 1945
Hideko Campagna describes how she survived the atomic bombing of Nagasaki and laments the fact that many of her classmates passed away after the war. She talks about marrying a Navy serviceman and coming to the U.S., in spite of her family's opposition and how she survived cancer. Her husband explains how he met her at a dance in 1953, corresponded with her by mail, and finally married her in a Buddhist temple and later in a military sanctioned wedding.
