MSU Professor of English Lister M. Matheson is interviewed about "Burns Day", the worldwide celebration of the life of Scottish national poet and lyricist Robert Burns. Band leader Terry Carroll describes the universal appeal of Burns. Matheson says Burns's work "represents the very best of Scotland". He reads an excerpt from Burns's poem "Address to a Haggis". Matheson is interviewed by Doug Johnson for the show "State Edition" on WUOM hosted by Roger Adams.
