President Obama speaks at an interfaith vigil for families of the victims of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut which claimed the lives of 26 victims, including 20 children aged six and seven. The President expresses the grief of a nation to the mourners, reads aloud the names of the victims, calls on the nation to do more to prevent gun violence, and pledges the full power of the presidency in addressing the issue. Connecticut Governor Dannel Malloy speaks about the power of faith and offers condolences to the families of the victims before he introduces the President.
