President Obama delivers a statement on the impact of the Affordable Care Act on the health, lives and pocketbooks of women and their families. Flanked by a cadre of women Obama declares "the law is here to stay." He explains the benefits, consumer protections and cost controls from which people may be benefiting and not even be aware. Obama explains how the insurance exchanges will operate to assure people can find affordable plans that cover their needs. He alleges that there is considerable misinformation about the ACA and its impact and declares, "health care is not a privilege; it is a right." Obama is introduced by Carol Metcalf who tells of her family's struggles to obtain health insurance.
