U.S. President Barack Obama speaks about changes and improvements in the Individual Insurance Market
President Obama speaks about changes and improvements in the Individual Insurance Market during a visit to Faneuil Hall in Boston, Massachusetts. Obama says that it's misleading to say insurers are "cancelling" people's insurance plans without also mentioning that almost all insurers are encouraging people to join better plans with the same carrier, with stronger benefits and stronger protections. He describes Massachusetts' experience with their mandated health insurance program which was the model for the Affordable Care Act.
