Michigan State University junior Marlo Koons talks about her hometown, high school, family, career interests, marriage and family, and her generation
Michigan State University junior Marlo Koons describes her hometown of Taylor, Michigan, her high school, and her family. Koons talks about adjusting to the dorm, describes activities and night life, and says "freshmen go crazy." She says that her high school did not prepare her well in math and science, but did in language arts. Koons says that she has no clear career path identified, but is interested in television and dance and wants to avoid typical blue collar work. She also says that marriage and family are definitely in her plans for the future, but that she wants to travel before she settles down. She acknowledges her generation's designation as the affluent "me" generation, and laments what seems to be a continual demand by her peers for instant gratification.
