The year in review : 1967
This radio program includes excerpts from the original news stories that aired during the year. Dr. Jack K. Henderson, MD was presented an award for outstanding community service. There was a UFO sighting in the Grand Haven/Holland area, including an interview with Sheriff Bernard Grysen. Also mentioned is the story about the change of command for the United States Coast Guard Cutter Woodbine, as well as the submarine exploration of Lake Michigan. The Lee Chapel at Grand Haven's Lake Forest Cemetery, Henry Griffin Elementary School, and Hoffmaster State Park (Muskegon County) were dedicated. Grand Haven tax payers approved the bond proposal for the building of the new Loutit Library. The Highland Park Hotel on Lake Michigan was destroyed by fire. Also included in the broadcast is an interview with John VanSchelven and Doug Tjapkes.
