The year in review : 1966
This radio program includes excerpts from the original news stories aired during the year. In this year, Robinson Township residents approved an increase of four mills for the construction of a new fire station. Both Robinson Elementary and Rosy Mound Elementary Schools were opened. Doris Hintzinger was charged with the murder of her three-year-old daughter Marie, found strangled in a trunk at their Nunica home. Construction news is given for the Grand Haven Post Office, Loutit Library, and the expansion of the Grand Haven Municipal Hospital. The dedication of the new bridge spanning Stearns Bayou is noted, along with area deaths, election results, retirements, awards, and labor issues involving the Oldberg Manufacturing Company, and Bastian Blessing.
