Paul Ryan (R-WI) accepts the position of Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, following John Boehner's resignation. In his acceptance speech, Ryan thanks his family and former Speaker Boehner, urges acceptance of new house members despite their lack of experience, and encourages cooperation in the house between the Republicans and Democratic. Following his remarks, Ryan takes the oath of office as administered by Dean of the House of Representatives, John Conyers (D-MI).
