U.S. President George W. Bush talks to the press about Senate passing the budget and the delay of Timothy McVeigh's execution
President George W. Bush talks about the Senate passing his budget plan and the decision to delay the execution of Timothy McVeigh, convicted of bombing a federal building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Bush implores the House to approve the budget so that he may begin to enact the policies in the budget. Bush also explains that he fully supports Attorney General Ashcroft's decision to delay the execution of McVeigh, which was prompted by the discovery of undisclosed evidence found in possession of the FBI. Following his remarks, Bush answers questions from reporters.
