Taking the macroscopic view of lake ecology : studying 50,000 lakes in the Midwestern and Northeastern United States

MSU Fisheries and Wildlife Professor Dr. Pat Soranno delivers a talk entitled, "Taking the macroscopic view of lake ecology: studying 50,000 lakes in the Midwestern and Northeastern United States." Soranno describes developing LAGOS, a public database of the water quality of 50,000 lakes in 17 different states. Soranno explains how she and her government funded group compiled the data from numerous sources including state agencies and citizen science groups. Soranno takes questions from the audience. Soranno is introduced by Eric Tanz of the Library Environmental Committee.
