U.S. President George W. Bush announces the return of the American Navy air crew detained in China

U.S. President George W. Bush announces the safe return to the U.S. of the 24 member American Navy air crew that was being detained in China after their plane collided with a Chinese fighter on April 1. Bush says that while the U.S. regretted the loss of life of a Chinese pilot in the accident, he reiterates that the incident occurred in international airspace and resulted from a challenge by Chinese fighter planes.
