Imaging work : photography in Mali, West Africa
Candace M. Keller, professor of African Art and Visual Culture in the Department of Art, Art History and Design at Michigan State University, delivers a talk entitled "Imaging work: photography in Mali, West Africa." Keller talks about the social roles photographers play in Mali and the way work and labor in Mali have been portrayed through photography. She also describes the history of photography in Mali, explains what types of people in Mali who become photographers. She answers questions from the audience. The event is convened by Professor John P. Beck from the Michigan State University School of Human Resources and Labor Relations.
