U.S. Vice President Mike Pence talks about re-energizing the space program
Vice President Mike Pence, Chair of the National Space Council, talks about re-energizing the space program and cooperating with industry to build and use the necessary technology. Pence describes the economic impact of the space industry and the civilian uses of the technology and commits to maintaining American dominance in the race to space. Pence mentions the Parkside school shooting and says the administration intends to make school safety a top priority. He also pays tribute to evangelist Billy Graham, who died recently at age 99. Pence is introduced by Robert M. Lightfoot Jr., Acting Administrator of the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
