Excerpts of statements by U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Adlai Stevenson at U.N. Security Council meetings during the Cuban Missile Crisis
In an excerpt from October 23, 1962, Ambassador Stevenson speaks about the U.S. position on Cuba's missile build up, saying there must be limits on the policy of forbearance, condemning Fidel Castro and the Soviet Union for the missile build up. In an excerpt from October 25, 1962 (starting at 1:10), Stevenson asks Soviet Ambassador Valerian Zorin if he denies that the Soviet Union supplied the missiles to Cuba. Ambassador Zorin states (through a translator) that he will reply at a later date after Stevenson says "don't wait for the translation, yes or no."
